Zintle Oyiya was an exceptional contributor to the B20 South Africa Presidency and played a significant role in bringing the objectives, priorities and impact of the Presidency to life throughout the B20 Summit.

From the outset, Zintle demonstrated an impressive combination of intelligence, professionalism, confidence and deep knowledge of business, policy and leadership issues. She has a natural ability to understand complex subject matter quickly, engage meaningfully with senior leaders and translate sophisticated discussions into conversations that are accessible, relevant and impactful.

One of Zintle’s most significant contributions was her role in leading conversations around policy adoption, business dialogue and inclusive growth. She was entrusted to moderate the Main Plenary session on Inclusive Growth, one of the key pillars of the B20 South Africa Presidency. She handled this responsibility with intellectual depth, asking thoughtful and relevant questions while creating space for meaningful dialogue between business leaders and key stakeholders. Her ability to guide complex conversations while allowing different perspectives to emerge demonstrated a high level of maturity, expertise and confidence.

Zintle also demonstrated strong editorial judgement through the range and quality of interviews she conducted during the Summit. She interviewed B20 Task Force Chairs, using these conversations to unpack and recap their recommendations that had been submitted to the G20. This was particularly valuable in helping audiences understand how the extensive work undertaken through the B20 Task Forces translated into concrete policy recommendations and ultimately contributed to the broader G20 process.

Her interview with the Brazilian B20 Sherpa was another strong example of her ability to engage at a senior policy level. The conversation explored the importance of continuing to advance essential economic development across the Global South, as well as the importance of continuity between Presidencies. Given Brazil's role as the previous G20 Presidency and its close collaboration with South Africa during the handover, Zintle was able to draw out important perspectives on continuity, economic development and strengthening global cooperation. She demonstrated a strong understanding of the broader geopolitical and economic context and was able to connect the conversation back to the objectives of the South African Presidency.

Her ability to connect high-level global conversations to practical business issues was also evident in the panel discussion featuring Lord Karan Billimoria of the UK House of Lords, Dr Morena from Biovac and Bohani Hlugwane of Absa. The discussion focused on the commitment required to develop ecosystems that enable and support small enterprises to grow and succeed. Zintle effectively connected the discussion to the B20's Inclusive Growth and Shared Prosperity pillar, highlighting the role of business in creating more inclusive economic ecosystems and ensuring that smaller enterprises are able to participate meaningfully in economic growth.

At the B20 Summit, Zintle also served as a digital anchor, providing coverage and bringing the Summit experience to audiences beyond the physical event. Her coverage extended to the Main Exhibition Hall, where she showcased the B20's 31 corporate sponsors and helped give visibility to the organisations that supported the Presidency. This was an important part of extending the reach and storytelling of the Summit and ensuring that the contribution of the private sector was visible within the broader B20 narrative. B20's own channels highlighted Zintle and her fellow digital anchor in their Summit coverage.

Her ability to conduct high-level interviews with global business leaders was another standout strength. Zintle engaged senior international figures with credibility and confidence, including her interview with Suzanne P. Clark, President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. She was able to engage leaders at a senior level without losing authenticity, while ensuring that the conversations remained relevant to the broader B20 agenda.

What particularly impressed me was Zintle's ability to operate comfortably in highly influential spaces while remaining authentic, intelligent and relatable. She represented the B20 South Africa Presidency with professionalism and pride and became a strong advocate for its priorities, particularly the ambition to advance inclusive growth, shared prosperity, economic development and meaningful business participation in global policy dialogue.

Zintle demonstrated an exceptional ability to represent the B20 brand and the South African Presidency. Whether moderating a high-level plenary, interviewing Task Force Chairs and global leaders, engaging the G20 Sherpa, facilitating discussions, engaging delegates or creating digital content from the exhibition floor, she consistently projected the professionalism, ambition and global relevance of the B20 South Africa Presidency.

I would describe Zintle as a high-calibre professional, compelling moderator, intelligent interviewer and powerful advocate for business and policy dialogue. She brought energy, credibility, substance and intellectual curiosity to every platform she occupied.

Her contribution to the B20 South Africa Presidency was significant. She demonstrated not only strong communication and moderation skills, but also an ability to understand policy, identify the strategic relevance of a conversation and connect complex global issues to the priorities of business and society.

I have no hesitation in recommending Zintle for future opportunities that require strategic communication, executive engagement, thought leadership, business dialogue, moderation, stakeholder engagement and high-level storytelling.

Zintle is someone who can walk into a room with senior global leaders, understand the conversation, ask the right questions and add meaningful value. She has the intelligence and presence to operate at a global level, while retaining the authenticity and curiosity that make her an engaging communicator.

From the very first planning session, Zintle was more than an MC and facilitator. Zintle became a true partner in helping us shape the experience we wanted to create. From co-creating programme content and flow, to preparing speakers, to supporting our engagement with the BBBEE Commissioner, Zintle’s contribution went far beyond what was expected.

What I appreciated most was her ability to understand not just the programme, but the purpose behind it. Zintle challenged us where needed, helped strengthen our messaging, and ensured that every element of the day connected back to the outcomes we wanted to achieve.

Zintle also brought a calm confidence to the preparation process. Whether it was helping us think through difficult conversations, or ensuring that the Commissioner was fully briefed and comfortable with the engagement, her professionalism and attention to detail were evident throughout.

On the day itself, Zintle created a space that was both engaging and authentic. She navigated conversations with ease, kept the energy in the room exactly where it needed to be, and ensured that participants felt heard and included.

It was a privilege to work alongside Zintle, and I am truly grateful for the expertise, care, and heart she brought to the process.

Working with Zintle on our Girls in STEM International Women’s Day event was an absolute pleasure. She brought thoughtful input to the planning of the agenda and conversational programme, helping us shape an experience that was engaging, relevant and centred on the girls.

On the day, Zintle facilitated the programme with warmth, confidence and an incredible ability to connect with both our young participants and our guests. She understood the purpose behind the event and helped us create a space where the girls felt comfortable to participate, share their voices and shine.
